The reason for having high blood pressure is being a heavy eater, overweight, drinking, or hereditary, and the most common cause of all of them is stress. You know that you have high blood pressure if your BP is exceeding 140 over 90. If you are always angry, your normal BP will increase to 180. That is why it is important to control yourself and always be relaxed.
If you always have high blood
pressure and it is not cured, it can cause a heart attack, stroke, heart
disease, or kidney failure. It can be treated with medicine, exercise, and a
healthy diet.
There are two autonomic nervous
systems in the body. The first is the sympathetic response, which is when the
body is responding to a stressful situation and also triggers high blood
pressure. The second is parasympathetic, which is when the body is in a state
of calmness and triggers normal or low blood pressure. By doing the deep
breathing method, the body will enter a parasympathetic situation.
The Deep Breathing Method
1. Think that you are in a beautiful, relaxing
place.
2. Inhale through your nose or mouth
for 4 seconds and hold it for 2 seconds.
3. Exhale through your nose for 4
seconds.
4. Now, after doing this two times,
add 1 second to all of your breathing. Inhale for 5 seconds, hold it for 3
seconds, and exhale for 5 seconds. Repeat this two times.
5. Now add another 1 second. Inhale
for 6 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds, and exhale for 6 seconds. Repeat this two
times, and now your blood pressure is lowered instantly.
Conclusion
It is hard to control the sudden increase
in blood pressure, especially in stressful situations. Properly controlling
your breathing will help lower your stress and blood pressure. Proper exercise
and diet will help decrease the chance of having stress, which can result in
always having high blood pressure.
